The Gruesomes - Cave-In! - 2000

Overshadowed by the reunions of the Guess Who and the Grapes of Wrath, Canada's other favorite G-band got back together in 2000, and it's just like old times. Gruesomes' reunion album is everything earlier albums were: turbo-charged garage rock done extremely snottily (who would have it any other way?). If maturity has dulled the edges of the Gruesomes, it's not really evident here. Put on the go-go boots and get ready to rock, children. This may not be deep, but it's a heap of fun. -AMG
