Longtime Chicago straight-ahead rockers who almost made the big time a few years back. They still play around the city and suburbs. The Northside five-man three-guitar band, sold over 100,000 copies of their Epic Debut Ghost on the Beach (1987), but Epic -- for some reason -- decided not to release their follow-up (actually, the entire A&R staff at Epic was fired). Catchy, heartland pop Beatlesesque stuff, though -- and best heard live (when they don't seem quite as stiff). -centerstage.net
