George Burton - 1965 - 2006

Uk import and a total surprise arrival here. We`re not sure who George Burton is but what we know and do here on the grooves on "1965" is that Burton is big fan of George Harrison and solo McCartney as the material here is filled with a gentle, laid-back-ish groove, a small army of great harmonies, lots of acoustic guitars driving the melodies w/ careful electric layering above that reminds us not only of aspects of Beatles-obsessed popsters, but more recent faves here like Charley Dush, Brian Jay Cline and a nice helping of David Grahame. -Not Lame

  1. I saw the post headline and the black and white guitar and thought "Oh no, George Burton died? And he was just my age? But wait, it's not 2006 anymore... LOL

The peril of naming your album after a year in the web age...
