Where did the Sweet/Hoffs cover come from? It wasn't on the (excellent) covers album they did together...

I have a collector's picture sleeve 45 that they released called The Pillowcase EP. It inludes a beautiful gatefold sleeve with two 45's. Songs are:

I See The Rain
The Village Green Preservation Society
She May Call You Up Tonight
I Can See For Miles
I will rip it at 320 and post onto Twilightzone! if you want.

Hi,
Love the site!
Who does the George Harrison cover? The title gets cut off on the sleeve and in the download.
Thanks!

Although I wouldn't want to short Shaun Cassidy, "Hey Deanie" is an Eric Carmen song from his "Change of Heart" album.

Dave Davies (riffmonster genius guitarist of The Kinks) does Give Me Love! Sweet.
As for Sid & Susie, I think the Kinks' Village Green is the other non-album B-side (literally) on the Pillowcase EP /double 7" set. I have it at home ... but pretty sure about that. And they NOW have a Vol. 2 of "Under the Covers" out, of '70s pop song.

I just stumbled on this. Excellent work.

It's rare for covers to surpass the originals (not impossible, of course), but even the ones on here that aren't quite BETTER than the source material still somehow manage to justify themselves.
